Hi Nancy, Hang in there -- the date will come and you will find that you feel like a new person!  I am almost three months out and my sleep apnea has been reduced and no more acid reflux.  You have made a wise decision! Oh my gosh - how can you stand to commute 2 hours each way!??

Hi Nancy, welcome aboard!! That is great that your insurance is picking up 100%..I think that is quite rare. You mentioned that your family is "finally" supportive...may I ask about their initial reaction...only because I haven't told anyone but my son and a co-worker yet. I don't have a surgery date yet but I'm thinking it will be this Fall after I complete my 6 nut. visits. You will love this forum...very good people here. Alice

  Welcome Nancy!  This is a great board and everyone here will be supportive and helpful as you progress along your journey.  I know they have been for me.  I am 58, soon to be 59 early next month and have my RNY tomorrow.  At times it seemed like it was taking forever but as I look back at it now, my surgery date has come pretty quickly.  Doesn't seem like you will have any insurance problems (I was lucky in that regard too).  Take care. ~~~ Pam
